Our training combines the ancient practices of yin yoga and reiki, giving you the tools to promote balance between your mind, body, and spirit. You will leave with a strong foundation of these modalities, subsequently being able to create your own yin yoga sequences while energetically support yourself throughout. You will also have the tools and knowledge to guide others through a sequence with energetic assists. This is a level 1 training, primarily focusing on self-healing, which harmoniously leads to the healing of others. When we heal ourselves we naturally bring healing to those around us. You will receive a Reiki Level 1 placement and certification along with Yin Yoga certification (20 CEUS with the yoga alliance).
In both Yin and Reiki, we are working to increase the balance of unseen life force energy. The Japanese call this unseen life energy Ki, the Chinese call it Chi , in Sanskrit it is known as Prana , and science calls it Biofield Energy. All these names are referring to our life force energy, which is the energy responsible for keeping us healthy and alive. This life energy flows within our physical body through energetic pathways known as our chakras, meridians, and nadis. It also flows around us in a field of energy known as our bio-energetic field (aura). The free balanced flow of healthy Ki is the cause of well-being. When our 'life force' is low or blocked, we are more vulnerable to illness, but if it is high and free flowing, we more easily maintain health.
In Yin Yoga was use asanas (postures) to get deep into the connective tissues, which is why the asanas are held for a longer period of time. Yin yoga relaxes the muscles around the connective tissue to allow for the release of physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual tension stored in the body. These shapes stimulate and remove blockages in the myofascial meridians in the body, which balances the body’s internal organs and systems.
Reiki ( pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The word Reiki is comes from the Japanese Ideograms - Rei which means "spiritual wisdom" and Ki which is "life force energy". When put together, Reiki means "spiritually guided life force energy. When an individual receives Reiki, the Rei (spiritual wisdom) accesses the areas where a person may have blockages and/or imbalances, to then direct healing energy to those areas. Essentially Reiki revitalizes and rebalances the energies that are already in your body to improve health and enhance quality of life.
